Nadia Nsayi

Nadia Nsayi is a political scientist who graduated cum laude from KU Leuven and was named Alumni Ambassador for her societal engagement and contribution to public debate. She is a specialist on Congo and works as a cultural programming officer at the Royal Museum for Central Africa (AfricaMuseum). Nsayi is the author of Daughter of Decolonization (2020), and Congolina (2023). Since 2020, she is a regular columnist for the Flemish newspaper De Morgen.

Her work focuses on decolonisation, memory, and Congo–Belgium histories and extends beyond academia: Daughter of Decolonization later inspired the exhibition Authenticité, inaugurated by Belgian-Congolese artist David Katshiunga. Around the same period, the exhibition 100× Congo. A Century of Congolese Art in Antwerp, which she co-curated as curator of representation, received the British Museums and Heritage Award for International Exhibition of the Year.
